An Orange County native, Alyce Reynaud is currently an Early Music Voice Performance Major at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, Montreal, studying Voice with Tracy Smith Bessette and Organ with Isabelle Demers. She previously served as Choral and Organ Scholar at Christ (formerly Crystal) Cathedral in Southern California. She regularly sang and played for Cathedral liturgies as an Organist, Cantor, and a member of the Cathedral Schola, Cathedral, and Diocesan Choirs while studying organ under David Ball, Cathedral Organist and vocal coaching with Lauren McCaul, Cathedral Music Administrator. As the Cathedral’s first Music Administrative Intern, she worked as an essential member of the Music Staff, supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of the Cathedral’s vast, multicultural music program. As a Soprano, Alyce has been the soloist in Rutter’s Gloria and Allegri’s Miserere Mei, and her organ playing has been featured in many of Southern California’s premiere organ venues including the Spreckels Pavillion, Disney Hall, and on the famed Hazel Wright Organ at Christ Cathedral.
