Alison Luedecke, organ
Dr. Alison J. Luedecke is is a vibrant musician who is passionate about sharing her love of music with everyone . She’s active as an ensemble musician, orchestral member and solo artist. Alison has performed across the US in churches and performing arts centers, in Germany, Mexico and most notably at Notre Dame de Paris, France. She is a founding member and organist/harpsichordist of San Diego Baroque, a collaborative ensemble presenting Baroque music on period style instruments. She is also a founding member of and organist with the Millennia Consort, a premiere “organ plus” brass and percussion ensemble presenting unique chamber music offerings. She plays regularly with the acclaimed Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra and the California Chamber Orchestra.
At the Church of the Nativity, Rancho Santa Fe, CA, she is currently serving as Organist and Choir Director of the Nativity Quartet and Youth Choir for the 9:00 Sunday High Mass and special occasions. In addition she has performed and presented workshops and masterclasses at regional and national conventions of the American Guild of Organists, the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, the Hymn Society, and the Organ Historical Society. Dr. Luedecke served as University Organist and Artist Teacher of Organ and Harpsichord at the University of Redlands. Her church ministry has included positions as Organist at St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla, California and at the cathedral and parish level and as Director of Liturgical Music for the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Rochester, New York, and San Diego. She completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance at the Eastman School of Music under David Craighead.
